RUMC night at the Birmingham Barons Game
To all who were excited about the Barons Game this Friday…
There have been some developments, and the Riverchase Barons Game Night has been cancelled.
The Barons public relations manager informed us today that they double booked and already have another sponsor that will be singing the National Anthem. They have accepted full responsibility for the mishap and apologized profusely.
As staff we thought through various scenarios and felt the best solution is to refund your money.
Long story short here are your options:
- If you are part of the Choir, then nothing needs to happen since you did not get your tickets yet.
- If you purchased $10 tickets through Cathy Hayhurst and have already picked up and paid for your tickets, I have your money in the office.
- If you have not picked up your tickets in the office yet, no need to do anything, I will void them.
- If you have ordered tickets through the Barons Baseball website and would like a refund, please contact tickets@barons.com.
- If you ordered your tickets through a third party website (Ticketmaster, etc) you will have to go through them for a refund.
Again, we’re sorry but this was totally out of our control and rests on the Barons home office and Public Relations Manager, who took responsibility.
We thought about all of us meeting for a pickleball game on Friday and having the Choir sing the National Anthem to kick things off, but that didn’t sound the same as singing for the Barons!
