On September 6th we’re doing something different to kick off the beginning of our Ministry year at Riverchase.
The focus will be on the book of Acts, which tells of the excitement surrounding the birth of the church.
Therefore, we won’t be signing up for various classes as we have in the past because we’re hoping everyone will be studying Acts in unity. Yes, you will be hearing of some other study opportunities but that’s not what this night is for…
This year it’s more about eating a family meal together. The early church often met to break bread as a family. Acts 2:42 highlights that fact. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing that night. Mostly just spending time with family. It’s been a while since we all sat together and told stories around the table. It’s been a while since we introduced ourselves to other people that attend other services. For those that are feeling really froggy, sit with people you don’t know and get to know them.
We’ve been through a lot since the last time we met together for a meal, so I thought a family meal might just be what we need! There is something awesome about a big family meal eaten together.
But there will be some “Extras” thrown in to make it interesting…
- Rumor has it that Daniel and Kayla, will be doing Latte Boy on the Piano – if you know, you know! If not ask around. This is worth the price of dinner alone! 😃
- A story or two may be shared about the impact of Riverchase in people’s lives…
- There may even be some audience participation! Be ready!
At the end of the night, we will have celebrated this place called Riverchase. A lot of laughter will be heard. New friends will be made. A new beginning unveiled, and hopefully, you’ll leave motivated and inspired about the upcoming year.
Unchurched guests are welcome and encouraged to eat with us! Invite someone, as they’ll be glad you did and so will you.

The meal will be catered, and the menu includes pasta with a choice of sauce and protein, salad, bread, dessert, and drink. $10.00 per person or a $30.00 cap for families of 4 or more. Registrations are required, register online below or by calling the church office at 205-987-4030. The deadline for registering is Friday, September 1 at noon.
