Children's Summer Camp Children's Ministry (Brochure) HEY KIDS! CHECK OUT THE COLORING PAGE! Here at RUMC children are welcome participants in a variety of programs that help them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through opportunities of spiritual, physical, and emotional growth. All activities are led by dedicated Christian leaders with a love for children.
CHILDREN AT WORSHIP – Children are welcome in all our worship services. Worship activity bulletins and bible storybooks are provided for younger children. Opportunities for children to become worship leaders are also provided throughout the year where children participate as acolytes, serve as church hosts, morning greeters, Scripture readers and singers.
Children’s Church – Children ages 3 to kindergarten are invited to attend children’s church during the 9:45 and 11:00 AM worship services. Here we help children grow their friendship with Jesus by experiencing scripture and doing activities that help build their relationship with Jesus in a real and relevant way.
Sunday School Classes – Are offered at 9:45 AM worship hour where children learn the story of our Christian faith through age appropriate activities, storytelling, and caring relationships.
Wednesday Evening Activities – Include age appropriate opportunities each hour from 6-8 PM for children to participate in music, singing, sacred dancing, and other Bible related studies. We work with children to increase their Bible knowledge and help them grow as disciples and future church leaders.
Seasonal Activities - Include spring Easter egg hunt, Fall Festival and costume party, Mission Days, Breakfast with Santa and Craft making workshop, Birthday Party for Jesus and Family Worship.
Yearly Events - Include promotion Sunday where children move up to appropriate age Sunday School classes, 3rd Grade Bible Sunday where each 3rd grader is given their own Bible during one of the traditional worship services, and Vacation Bible School Week where children participate in a week of fun, fellowship and learning.
Children’s Volunteer Ministry – Offers unique opportunities for interested individuals to participate in training and education for serving in any are of children’s ministry (screening and age requirements are required).
