New to RUMC?

At Riverchase United Methodist Church we emphasize the joy and saving grace of the Gospel that comes to us through Jesus Christ. Our members have come to us from a variety of backgrounds, states, and from varied denominational backgrounds. RUMC is a church with open hearts, and our doors are open each week to all of those who are seeking a closer relationship with God.

Riverchase UMC is a dynamic, growing church committed to "Sharing the Joy of Christ" with the world around us. It is our hope that you will experience the risen Christ in the variety of opportunities for spiritual and emotional growth this church offers.

Worship...

Worship at RUMC is biblically based with emphasis upon the celebration of God's presence in our lives. Four services are offered each Sunday morning; three traditional services in the Sanctuary (8:45, 9:45, and 11:00 AM) and a contemporary worship service called "SonDay Live," at

11:00 AM in The Well (gym.)

These services feature singing and music by the church choirs, the orchestra, and the handbell choirs. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on a regular basis. The purpose of worship at RUMC is to inspire faith and enable discipleship. Child care is available for infants and toddlers, and a Children's Sermon and Children's Church are regular activities.

The Wednesday evening mid-week program offers a common meal and an informal time of fellowship and sharing. Meals begin at 4:45 PM and programs and classes begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesdays throughout the school year.
