United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women is a mission organization whose members give of themselves through prayer, action and financial gifts in response to God's call. Each year United Methodist Women raise money for local organizations; advocate for the needs of women, children and youth; equip members for service; and join together regularly in fellowship.

 

The United Methodist Women of Riverchase United Methodist Church are a community of women whose purpose is to know God; to develop creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand missions through participation in the ministries of this church. 

 

There are more than 100 participants in the Riverchase United Methodist women’s circles. Each group meets monthly. We invite you to participate in a supportive community through worship, sharing, praying, studying, working, and serving. Here are a list of the circles for you to choose from.

 

This circle holds meetings on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in room S210, followed by lunch out together. It is composed of 20 – 25 members who are active in study and mission projects. There is no child care usually provided. Contact: Pam McCormick, Leader (205-989-8180)

 

This circle meets on the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in Riverchase A or in the homes of members. Light refreshments are served, followed by business and a program. This circle meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in Room 27 of the Christian Life Center Building. Members share a light supper and enjoy a full program of mission study and hands-on mission involvement projects. Child care is available; call the leader to arrange. This circle meets on the third Monday of each month at 10:00 A.M. in Riverchase A. This is a large group of women who enjoy varied programs and outside speakers throughout the year.
